Dragon fruit cultivation

1. Temperature:

Pitaya fruit for tropical, subtropical fruit, its seedling cultivation technology is very simple. Fire Dragon fruit seedlings like warm and wet, tolerant to shade and barren, the optimum temperature for growth is 25~35℃, but can be planted in the open air where the lowest annual temperature is higher than 5℃. Dragon fruit is not frost resistant, winter below 0 degrees, or choose greenhouse planting.

2. Moisture:

Pitaya is resistant to drought and is afraid of dampness. It can avoid long-term water accumulation in the soil during planting. At the same time, the growth period can not be short of water, keeping the soil moist and breathable is conducive to its growth. The best soil water capacity is 60%-80%.

3. Light:

Pitaya grows quickly in warm, moist, sunny conditions. The optimum light is above 8000lx, and below 2500lx will affect the growth.

4. Soil:

The soil requirements are not strict, flat land, paddy field, hillside or dry land can be cultivated, in fertile, well-drained neutral or slightly acidic sandy red soil or loam growth well, with air roots, more strong roots, vitality and exuberant. The optimal soil PH value is 6~7.5, and it is best to choose the soil rich in organic matter and good drainage.
