Pear (Pyrus spp) cultivation
Basic information
1. Temperature
There are many varieties of pears and different requirements for temperature.
The germination requirement of pear powder is above 10℃, and 18-25℃ is the most suitable.
2. Water
The precipitation requirements and moisture tolerance of pear trees vary with different varieties.
Pear moisture resistance is strong, distributed in more than 1000mm precipitation area.
3. Lighting
The pear tree likes the sun, and the light intensity has an obvious effect on the plant when the light intensity is 30,000-50000lx.
4. Soil
Pear has a wide range of soil acidity and alkalinity, but ph5.8-7 is suitable.
Pear trees are resistant to salt and alkali, and soil salt content should not exceed 0.2%.
Cultivation guide
1. Planting
Areas with warm late autumn and high soil moisture can be planted in autumn with a planting density of 40 to 60 plants per 667㎡.
It can be adjusted appropriately according to the growing strength of varieties.
2. Soil, fertilizer and water management
Young fruit trees may grow leguminous or gramineous crops between rows.
Cover in the dry season of summer and autumn.
Application of basal fertilizer before defoliation after fruit harvesting had a significant effect on tree restoration and nutrient reserve enhancement.
The time of applying base fertilizer was before flowering, rapid fruit expansion and harvest.
The fertilization method was to dig circular trenches, with a width of 0.8cm and a depth of 0.6cm.
Common topdressing concentrations were urea 0.3%, superphosphate 0.3%, boron 3%, ferrous sulfate 0.3%, zinc 0.3%.
For each 100kg fruit, the content of three elements consumed was 0.45kg of nitrogen, 0.2kg of phosphorus and 0.45kg of potassium.
The main pear production areas in China, the annual precipitation of the Yangtze river basin is 1200mm, and the precipitation per 667㎡ is 800t.
3. Cutting
Pear trees have obvious central trunk, young trees should leave more main branches.
Most pear cultivars are mainly short fruit branch fruit, the fruit position is stable, but the volume is limited.
The main stem of fixed seedlings should be set at about 70cm. In spring, the germination of seedlings below 40cm should be removed, and 5-6 seedlings above 40cm should be retained.
4. Protect flower protect fruit
Spray 0.2%-0.5% boric acid during flowering period has certain effect on flower preservation.
Remove the flower buds from the long branches, leaving the flower buds at the top.
Bagging is an important measure to improve the quality of pear trees.
5. Fruit harvesting
The fruit can be harvested when the surface of the fruit changes color to present the natural color of the variety.
Fresh varieties are harvested near maturity.
Used for storage, harvested when moderately ripe.
Used for processing, harvested when fully ripe.
